House Of Dark Shadows (made in 1970) based on the very popular TV Gothic soap
opera, follows the life (or is that Afterlife) of Barnabas Collins. Recently
unleashed from his coffin by local drunk, Willie Loomis, the vampire (Barnabas)
goes on a killing spree, while at the same time charming his present day family
members. In the process he meets local girl Maggie Evans and notices that she
looks exactly like his deceased fiancé Josette. Barnabas assumes that she is the
reincarnation of Josette, and plans to make him his unholy bride for eternity.

Another movie based on the original series. Night of Dark Shadows was aired
in 1971.
Hung as a witch 200 years ago, Angelique comes back to Collinwood. Her return
from the grave is just the beginning as painter and his wife move into the
house and find themselves plagued by ghosts and spirits of his ancestors that
used to be witches.

Victoria Winters comes to Collinwood, an isolated mansion in coastal Maine,
to work as a governess, but soon finds herself drawn into a strange, Gothic
world of vampires, ghosts and a family curse that dates back centuries.
Inspired by the original TV show this remake was created in 1990 but only
survived for one season. My personal opinion is that the show was very good but
importunely it was overshadowed (no pun intended) by Desert Storm.
